Stockbridge Ceramics combines a gallery selling contemporary ceramics with working studios for making and teaching.

 

Andrea Scholes and Geoff Calder, both graduates in Contemporary Ceramics Practice, are delighted to be continuing the legacy of Janet Adam who established the Adam Pottery here more than 40 years ago.

 

The pottery is situated in a typical 19th century tenement on the northern fringe of Edinburgh’s New Town, a somewhat unexpected setting for a working pottery amongst residential properties and vibrant cafes, wine bars, restaurants and shops. This uniqueness adds to the charm of the place and draws many visitors.
